NES Col-Lab Retreat

CONNECT | SHARE  | CO-CREATE

Schoorl NL, Wednesday 27th – Friday 29th of August 2025.

The NES Col-Lab Retreat brings together researchers, data stewards, software engineers and support staff with an affinity for the Natural and Engineering Sciences, amidst nature in a secluded setting.

During these three days in the beautiful Dutch dunes, we will gather to identify shared challenges and co-create practical, cross-institutional solutions for data and software in a FAIR manner.

Reflections on the current landscape and existing infrastructure, exchange of best practices, lessons from ongoing projects, and hands-on collaboration will strengthen community connections and shape the future of research support in the NES domain.

The Retreat follows an unconference model. Except for a few plenary sessions, the agenda is shaped by the participants themselves. You’ll have the freedom to join or lead activities that matter most to you. Before the Retreat, participants are asked to propose topics for the team work.

Apply to join the retreat!
